Mark Russell Sheffield passed away on April 17, 2016 at the age of 58. He was born on December 8, 1957 in Houston, Texas. He grew up in Houston on the north side, was baptized at the age of eight at Lindale Baptist Church, and attended Sam Houston High School. Mark moved to Conroe in the early 80's and worked for Long Air Conditioning for many years.

Mark is survived by his daughter, Amy Sheffield Jones, her husband Mick and two grandsons, Tristan and Tyler Jones of Davie, Florida. He is also survived by his sister, Pam Sheffield Lindsey and her husband James, of Victoria, Texas and his brother, Randy Sheffield and his wife Mae, of Magnolia, Texas. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Cozby and Moline Sheffield.

He is lovingly remembered by his aunt Sandra and her husband Lee Hollingsworth, of Weches, Texas and his aunt Wanda Roberts, of Alto, Texas. He also leaves behind his niece, Kendra Sheffield Phelps and her husband Robert and their children, Grace and R.C., his nephew Cody Lindsey and his wife Ashley, and nephew Steven Lindsey and his fiancé Joni Schneider. He will be greatly missed by his many beloved cousins and friends, including his life-long friend, Barb.

Mark will be remembered for so many wonderful qualities. His family, great music, cooking, and nature were his favorite things. He was an incredibly talented musician, and in recent years he became an amazing craftsman, creating beautiful woodwork. He was always available when his family and friends needed him. He had an incredible work ethic, not only in his career, but in taking care of the family A-Frame in Weches, Texas built by his father Cozby many years ago. He took great pride in his garden there and ensuring that his father's legacy would carry on for generations to come.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, April 22nd from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at 10:00 AM at Cashner, followed by graveside service and interment at 1:30 PM at the Weches Community Cemetery in Weches, Texas.

Pallbearers will include Randy Sheffield, James Lindsey, Mick Jones, Tristan Jones, Robert Phelps, and Steven Lindsey. Honorary pallbearer is Tyler Jones.
