R. M. "Mark" Taylor Jr., 64, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in Conroe, Texas.

He was born, August 13, 1947, in Nacogdoches, the son of the late R. M. "Bud" and Joyce Taylor of Nacogdoches. He served in the United States Navy and was owner and manager of Mark's BBQ in Conroe. He later enjoyed working in retail sales.

He is preceded in death by his father, R. M. "Bud" Taylor and his grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. D Brookshire and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Albert Taylor.

Mark is survived by his mother, Joyce Taylor of Nacogdoches, his loving wife of 33 years Theresa, sons, Chock Taylor of Central, David Taylor of Conroe, and daughters, Libby Taylor of Angleton, and Kimberly Henneke of Montgomery; brothers, John Taylor of Nacogdoches, Tim Taylor of Nacogdoches, and Paul Taylor of San Antonio; and sister, Betsy Alexander of Bullard; and eight grandchildren, Mason and Clay Taylor, Brody Hansbro, Chase and Cameron Taylor, Kyle Sparks and Keelie and Kooper Henneke.

Mark was a loving husband and caring father and loved keeping his grandchildren and playing golf. He loved cooking and preparing meals for his family. He enjoyed life to its fullest.

Visitation will be Friday 5 -7 p.m. at Metcalf Funeral Home in Conroe. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 26th at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by graveside services at 3 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches.

Pallbearers will be Tim Taylor, Stan Lilly, Don Bender, Al Stewart, Keith Mills Stewart, John Altom, John Henson, Clint Taylor, Blake Taylor, Chris Hancock, and Steve Sheffield.
