Martha Lucher Staggs, age 83 peacefully passed away on January 10, 2015. She is fondly remembered as a happy, kind and loving mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Born near Houston, Texas on April 17, 1931 she was the youngest of three children born to John and Mary Gregory. Martha is preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Morrell Staggs and her son John Afton Lucher. She is survived by her sons and their wives Charlie and Gaye Lucher, Michael and SuEllen Staggs, Donald and Linda Staggs, Ricky and Regina Staggs, and Dean Staggs one daughter Sheri O'Hagan and her husband Scott, 5 grandsons, Jeremy Wayne Crabb, Scott O'Hagan, Justin Staggs, Jarrod Staggs, Johnny Staggs and 3 grand-daughters, Rachel Staggs-Jannise, Nicole Clark, Caitlin O'Hagan and 13 great grandchildren. Martha lived in Conroe, Texas for 68 years. During that time she was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters. Always energetic and a hard worker, she had numerous occupations. She became a licensed LVN working for several doctors in the Conroe area, and was successful with numerous businesses. She worked at Beall's Department Store for years and Academy until her mid-seventies. Martha enjoyed gardening, cooking and occasional gambling in Lake Charles with her friends and family. Her greatest accomplishment was that she made everyone around her happy. She had a great sense of humor and a wonderful laugh that could brighten anyone's day. She gave the best hugs, never met a stranger and was loved by everyone that knew her. Visitation will be held Monday, January 12, 2015 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home (801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX 77303) Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 3:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Garden Park Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Crabb, Scott O' Hagen, Scotty O' Hagen, Mel Telles, Ricky Staggs and Michael Staggs. You are invited to view our webpage and leave written tributes to the family at
