Marvin Preuss, age 93, was born on January 13, 1922 in Bastrop, TX. Marvin went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 6, 2015 in Conroe, TX.

Marvin was a member of MIMS Baptist Church in Conroe, TX where he taught 5th and 6th grade boys Sunday School for several years. He was also a Deacon who loved to serve his Lord and his church. Marvin proudly served as a medic in the army in WWII.

Marvin is preceded in death by his daughter Eunice Preuss Dodge. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Valda Preuss; daughter Pamela Poland and husband Jim all of Conroe, TX; grandson Billy Iams of Oklahoma; granddaughter Vanessa Hamman of Oklahoma and two great-grandchildren Mina and Noah also of Oklahoma; two brothers Billy Preuss and wife Marylou of Seguin, TX, Eugene Preuss and wife Isabel of New Braunsfels, TX; two sisters Florence McQuaig and husband Marshall of Seguin, TX, and Esther Schmidt of Seguin, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Marvin's life will be celebrated beginning with a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 8th at Metcalf Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 9th at 1:00 PM at Metcalf Funeral Chapel with a graveside service to follow at Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery.
