Mary Delorese Castleschouldt passed away at Azalea House, Conroe Texas on Sunday, January 21, 2017 after a lengthy illness.

Delorese was born March 15, 1930 in Matheson, Mississippi to John Wister and Belle Zona Dunlap. At six weeks she lost her mother and went to live with her grandparents and her Aunt Lou Ellen and Uncle Irvin Clanton. At a young age, she married Clarence Tunney Castleschouldt and they resided in Conroe most of their married life. Tunney, preceded her in death they had one child, Judy Castleschouldt Backhus. Delorese is survived by her daughter, Judy, Cousin Mary Clanton Brooks and Frances Clanton Bell. She also has numerous nieces and nephews.

Delorese worked as a nurse aid at Montgomery County Hospital in the 60's and then decided open a Bar-B-Q place and did it for several years until Tunney's health began to fail and then her time was spent taking care of him.

Mother enjoyed gardening, fishing and loved her music. She belonged to 60 plus and she and James Shaver at least once a month furnished the music for the dance.

The viewing will be Thursday, January 26th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The service will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 by officiate Nancy Criswell Laster at 12:30 at Cashner Funeral Home 801 Teas Road Conroe, Texas. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery, next to Cashner Funeral Home.
