A memorial service for Mary Boswell, 85, will be Saturday, July 19th at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christ Church in Conroe, TX. Mrs. Boswell passed away June 30, 2014 at a nursing facility in Lufkin, TX. She was born September 19, 1928 in Millville, AR. to the late Lonnie Smith and Ida Belt Smith.

Mrs. Boswell grew up in Bearden, AR. and was a long time resident of Conroe, TX. She was married to the love of her life, the late Roy Boswell, for almost 47 years. An accomplished cook she shared her culinary knowledge with special needs students at Conroe ISD to give them the skills to be successfully employed in the food service industry. Mary and Roy also spent their spare time cooking at festivals, fairs and events. She also worked with her husband to run a successful automotive repair business. In her retirement years she volunteered in a resale shop that benefited Bridgewood Farms. She loved being granny to her grand and great grandchildren and being involved in their activities.

Mrs. Boswell is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Mariellen and Patrick Day of Lufkin, TX, Donna and Artie Anderson of Lufkin, TX, and her son and daughter-in-law Mike and Janet Boswell of Magnolia, TX; grandchildren Johnny Day, Stephine and Sam Crabb, Shelli and Ben Willis, Bear Seale, Mary Katherine and Jonathon Engle, John Boswell, Beth Boswell, Austin Anderson and Hannah Anderson; Great grandchildren Michael and Sarah Freund, Matthew and Kimmie Freund, Hunter Freund, Hayley Seale, Shelton Baker, John David Engle, Mike Henry Engle, and Madeleine Patricia Engle; Sister Clarice Hunter, sisters-in-law Mary Lou Smith and Enid Boswell Blevins, brother and sister-in-law Paul and Vee Boswell; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Lonnie and Ida Smith, husband, Roy Boswell, son, Michael Scott Boswell, brothers and sisters-in-law James and Cummalee Smith, Jack Smith, Lee Smith, Dale Hunter, and Ellen Boswell McCrory.
