Melinda Thompson-Cruz, was born in Kissimmee, FL on June 26, 1982. She was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the age of 30.

Melinda's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her will never forget her love of life, laughter and kindness for others. She brought so much joy to all our lives. Melinda touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity.

Melinda loved and cherished her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Omar Cruz, her precious son's Jonah Cruz and Adam Cruz, her loving mother Norma Thompson, her dearest brother Lon Wesley Thompson, her caring sister Patricia Hakes, three step-sister's Elizabeth, Cathy and Yvette along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Lon Thompson and youngest brother Sean Thompson.

She graduated from Caney Creek High School and attended Sam Houston State University. Melinda lived the majority of her life in Conroe, TX. She has many dear friends that will deeply miss her.

She always made time for her hobbies which included entertaining friends, family time, playing with her boys, going to movies, listening to music and hanging out with her friends.

All friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at First Baptist church Grangerland, 15975 FM 3083, Conroe, TX on Oct. 22, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Directions: Go east on TX-105 (E. Davis St.), turn right onto FM-3083 for 7.2 miles and church will be on the left.
