Melva Herren was born June 14, 1929 to Daniel and Pearl Fruzia in Houston, Texas.

Melva Faye Fruzia Herren went to be with the Lord on Thursday February 26 surrounded by her family at the age of 85, at The Azalea House (a private care home) in Conroe, TX. Melva was a member of Candlelight Church of Christ in Houston, TX and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Her Christian values were a testimony of her faith and devotion to God.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jessie Fulton Herren, son Gary Herren, and two grandsons Bartley Herren and Lim Herren. Her twin sister Elva Fruzia Stowe, sister Gertrude Green, sister Gladys Blasdell and four brothers.

She was survived by her son Bart Herren of Houston, her 3 nieces Rui Martin, of Montgomery, TX, Trudy Wood of Sam Rayburn, TX, and Cindy Gower of Canyon Lake, TX; grandson, Daniel Herren of Raleigh North Carolina, granddaughter Delaney DeLabarra and one great granddaughter. Also survived by her sister in laws, Stella Moore, Lorene Osborn of Houston, TX, Lois LaRoe of Palestine, TX and her nephew, Gerald (Buddy) Fruzia and wife Zelda of Spring, TX.
