Melvin Ceasar Adickes was born September 17, 1936, in Cuero, Texas and passed away September 14, 2014, in Conroe, Texas, at the age of 77. He was married to Evelyn Rajnoch Adickes for 57 years. Melvin was a life time member of the National Rifle Association, a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church for 38 years, and retired from Enron in 1986. Melvin served his country in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents Emma and Ceaasar Adickes. He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Adickes of Conroe, Texas, daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and John Erskine of Wink, Texas, Karen and John Monroe of Gonzales, Louisiana, son and daughter -in-law Bruce and Virginia Adickes of Conroe, Texas, grandchildren, Derek Erskine and wife Brittany, Dustin Erskine, David Monroe and wife Amanda, Michelle Strain and husband Ed, Hannah Galler and husband Douglas, Cody Adickes and wife Caitlin; great grandchildren, Luka Erskine, Sarah Monroe, Gage Strain, Larkin Strain, Fiona Galler. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. Visitation for Melvin will be at Cashner Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be at St. Mark Lutheran Church on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Quail officiating. Burial will follow at Garden Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you donate to St. Mark Thrift Shop and Beautification Committee, 2100 Tickner, Conroe, Texas, 77301, or , Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter, 2242 W.
