GRANBURY -- Meredith Elaine Staton Gillespie, 27, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 in Fort Worth. Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Granbury.

Burial: 1 p.m. Tuesday in Smith Memorial Park in Willis. Memorials: Scholarship fund for daughter, Madeline Elaine Gillespie to Kayce Starnes, 714 Paluxy St., Glen Rose, Texas 76043.

Meredith was born Feb. 21, 1985 in Conroe to Bythel William and Vivian Elaine Staton. She graduated from Willis High Schoolin 2003 and attended Sam Houston State University and Weatherford College until the birth of her baby and became a stay-at-home mom. She was drum major at Willis High School during her junior and senior years. She was active in the Willis 4H at the Montgomery County Fair where she was the first girl to win Grand Champion in woodworking. She was a lab technician for C.G. Laboratory in Granbury, loved to cook & loved her family very much. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and had previously attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe.
