Mose Clemon Johnson was born June 16, 1938 to the parentage of Rinza T. Johnson, Sr. and Rosie Lee Johnson. Mose was honored to carry the names of both his grandfathers (Mose- his paternal grandfather and Clemon his maternal grandfather). At an early age Mose united with and was baptized at Jones Chapel Baptist Church under the Pastoral leadership of Min. F. Johnson. He attended public school in Conroe, Texas where he played football for Booker T. Washington High School wearing number 43. On August 2, 1954 Mose untied in marriage to Bernadine Morris. This union lasted 54 years until her passing in 2007. Mose and Dean were the parents of three children; Pamela Rose (deceased), Elton Roy and Douglas Wayne (deceased). Mose was always a hard worker. He worked for Winegarden as a truck driver, Pace Fabricators and eventually retired from Consolidated Industries. Mose a self- taught mechanic. Roofer, and carpentry things. Among his many interests were golf, shooting pool, and playing dominoes. Mose, known fondly as Stick was a very kind - hearted and giving person.

On September 30, 2015 the Lord called Mose home to be with is good Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Elton; 3 grandchildren, Pam, J.R., and Fabrice. He is also survived by his step mother; Charlene Johnson; 3 sisters Joyce Monroe (Eddie), Zenobia Smith (William), and Vera Dawkins (John); 2 brothers, Rinza Jr., and Michael; longtime friend, Ms. Bernice Bookman; devoted nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Years in Houston Mose made and cherished many, many friendships.

Visitation will be held Saturday October 10, 2015 from 9-11a.m.The Funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Oscar Johnson Memorial Chapel. Interment: Haynes Chapel Cemetery Montgomery, Texas.
