Nancy "Teri" Suehs of Montgomery, Texas passed away September 4, 2014 while visiting her family in Portland Oregon. The purpose of her trip was to attend her 65th High School reunion, which she did.

Teri was born June 27, 1931, the only child of Roy and Pearl Pond in Portland Oregon. She grew up in Portland where she attended and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Lewis and Clark College.

After 20 years as a Supervisor of Recreation for the City of West Covina, California she retired to marry George Suehs, a Dentist in the Navy. She enjoyed an active life as a Navy wife; and was an asset to her husband's career.

Upon her husband's retirement from the Navy, they settled in Montgomery Texas. Teri was very active in the Montgomery County Republican Party serving as secretary for 16 years. In 1985 she was recognized as Woman of The Year by the Montgomery Republican Women; and in 1998 received a Tribute for Women recognition from the Texas GOP. In 1987 she formed the Montgomery County Language Bank for which she received a Volunteer Action Award from President Ronald Reagan.

Teri is preceded in death by her husband George Suehs in 1990. She is survived by her stepchildren, George "Fritz" Suehs and wife Jan; and daughter: Cindy Evans; 7 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved cat "Smokey".

Teri traveled widely, entertained royally and lived her life to the fullest. During her lifetime, she enjoyed many loyal friendships and will be remembered as one who loved life.

Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Friday September 19, 2014 at St. Matthias Catholic Church, Magnolia, Texas.
