Nedra Faye Dodson, age 79, passed from this life to be with her heavenly Father on January 2, 2012. Nedra fought "the good fight", battling pancreatic and liver cancer in her last days. She was born on October 9, 1932 in Alleene, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, James Everett Dodson, who has been waiting in heaven for her since 1990; her parents, Lois Garfield Magby and Eva Mae Magby; sisters, Mildred Ridge and Brenda O'Rand. She is survived by her siblings, Raymond Ray Magby, Wiley Magby and Marge Keel; three children, Vicky Fleming and husband Paul, Richard Dodson and James Dodson; grandchildren, Jordan Dodson, Colby Dodson, Bradley Hoff and his wife Reem, Brian Hoff, Misty Travis and husband Jeremy, Lyndsey Fleming Hermes and husband Jim, Chris Dodson, Andrew Dodson; and numerous great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Richard Dodson, Jordan Dodson, Colby Dodson, Bradley Hoff, Paul Fleming and Chris Dodson. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Hoff, Brian Hoff, Andrew Dodson and James Dodson. Nedra loved to sing, loved her horses, dogs, cats, playing her mandolin, giving her views of politics, sharing a recipe and discussing scripture with anyone she came in contact with. Her Christian spirit touched all who knew her while she was on this earth. Nedra, we thank our God upon our every remembrance of you.

There will be a visitation at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2012, followed by the Memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Community Bible Church, located at 24422 Kuykendahl Road in Tomball, Texas. A family burial will be at Cashner Funeral Home's Garden Park Cemetery in Conroe, Texas at 2:00 p.m. with her Pastor Rick Kress officiating.
