Funeral services for Nettie Ruth Walker Derr will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 12:30pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel with visitation one hour prior to services, beginning at 11:30am. Burial will follow in County Line Cemetery. Nettie was born June 1, 1920 in Montgomery County, Texas to Jim Walker and Maggie Walker and passed away February 3, 2013 in League City, Texas. Nettie is preceded in death by her parents, Jim Walker and Maggie Dean-Walker; brothers, Pete Walker, Roy Walker, Clyde Walker and Carl Walker; sisters, Ethel Sutton, Tessi Baker and Honey Cranford; and by her daughter, Gwen Harris Casey. Nettie is survived by her daughter, Sue Harris Cameron and her husband David; grandchildren, Darryl Ahart, Steven Cameron, Kim Shretter, Renae Farley, April Stafford and Stacey Cameron; great grandchildren, Kalen Ahart, Lou Shretter, Sara Farley, Dustan Farley, Cameron Balinski, Jewell Balinski, Gabe Stafford and Ian Ahart; nieces, Snookie Kelly, Nan Sunday, Judy Edwards, Celia Lozenski, Laura Swindler, Pam Walker, Shirley Yeager, Linda Pruitt and Diane Stunk; nephews, Joe Cranford, Jack Walker, Arthur Walker, Jim Walker, Scott Walker and Raymond Brown and best friends, Pigeon Boyd, Pat Miley, Theresa Dahse and Diane Lawson. Pallbearers will be Ryan Swindler, Danny Kelly, Arthur Walker, Joe Cranford, Jim Walker, Dustan Farley, Jack Walker and Scott Walker. Honorary pallbearers are Lou Casey, Cameron Balinski and Gabe Stafford.

Nettie attended the Water Aerobics classes here at the Conroe Aquatic Center for many years.She loved coming, socializing with friends and enjoying many good times together.
