Norma Teresa Bass Mintz was born August 20, 1936 in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, the daughter of Merriman Claude and Mamie Lee Bass. Norma and James Dale Mintz of Houston, Texas were married on August 19, 1955 at First Baptist Church Spring Branch, Houston, Texas. She was a 1954 graduate of Spring Branch High School and a graduate of Massey Business College. Norma lived most of her life in Houston and later in Conroe, Texas and more recently in Temple, Texas. Norma went to her heavenly home on May 24, 2016 after a brief illness.Survivors include her husband of 60 years, James Dale Mintz of Houston, two daughters and sons-in law, Gail and Eddie Albritton (Willis);and Cheryl and Lloyd Walker (Belton); a granddaughter, Jessica and Evan Traylor (Conroe); four grandsons, Jason Herren (Willis): Matthew and Emily Walker (Arlington); Bryan and Mallory Walker (Harker Heights); and Noah Walker (Belton) and five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, and Max Herren (Willis), Colt Walker (Arlington), and Jackson Traylor (Conroe). Survivors also include one brother, John and Margie Bass (Houston); and two sisters, Marian and Skip Leibensperger (McAllen); and Deborah and Rev. Billy Johnson (DeSoto); a sister-in-law, Mrs. Betty Bass (Houston); and brother-in-law, Philip Loney (Garland), and many nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Services on Saturday, May 28, 2016, 3:00 pm, at Cashner Funeral Home and Cemetery, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303, (936) 756-2126. Visitation from 2-3 pm before the service.
