Oatha B. "O.B." Stephens, Jr., 80, passed away October 10, 2011 in Magnolia, Texas. He was born July 23, 1931 in Pollok, Texas to the late Oatha B. Stephens Sr. and Audrey Harvill Stephens. O.B. is survived by his wife of 16 years, Ruth Stephens; children Michael Stephens and wife Victoria, Mark E. Vonderau and wife D'Ann, Brian Vonderau, Leah Coale and husband Louis; sisters Yvonne Poage and husband Foy, Jean Branham and husband Jerry, Donald Stephens and wife Danett; grandchildren Ariel and Matthew Stephens, Christopher and Amy Vonderau, Nathan, Kyle, Kevin and Holly Vonderau, Patrick, Kayla and Anna Coale; great granddaughter Reese Emily Vonderau; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

O.B. served 13 years in the U.S. military, 4 in the Navy and 9 in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Pillsbury Corporation, Burger King Division and later became a manager of Milberger Turf Sales in The Woodlands. He was known by many homeowners in The Woodlands because of his love for horticulture.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Matthew Stephens, Christopher, Nathan, Kyle and Kevin Vonderau, Patrick Coale, Fred and Kirk Stephens.

Funeral Services are set for 10:30 A.M., Thursday, October 13, 2011 in the Chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Houston National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the funeral home.
