Patricia Cave Carter, 82, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2015, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Patricia was born June 21, 1933, in Paducah, Texas, the third child of T. L. and Ellen Cave. She attended schools in Amarillo, Texas and graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1950. That summer, she met Bill Carter and they married in November of 1950. Patricia was known for her keen intellect, her heartfelt compassion, and her ability to put anyone at ease. She loved music and had a beautiful singing voice. She was also a gifted writer and graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a degree in journalism. As a young woman, Patricia placed her faith in Jesus Christ and began her journey as His witness. She faithfully served in women's and children's ministries in every church she attended and was often asked to pray for others. Her true passion was supporting missionaries locally and overseas to further the work of the Gospel. She was a committed student of the Bible and faithfully attended Ladies' Bible Study Fellowship in Conroe for many years, mentoring others with her exceptional knowledge of the Word. Patricia devoted herself to a life of service - service to her family, her faith and her community. Patricia was predeceased by her husband, her parents, and two siblings. She is survived by her children, W. L. "Tex" Carter and wife, Kay; Mike Carter and wife, Sheila; Mark Carter and wife, Lisa; Peggy Freeman; Charlie Carter; and Tim Carter and wife, Meridith.
