Patricia Lynn Dickson, (Patty) passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at her home on April 24, 2016 due to a rare heart condition. She was born on July 17, 1953 in the small town of Freer, Texas to her father James E. Crowell and her mother Barbra Nell Rutherford. Patty was the beloved wife and best friend of her one and only love, Fred Dickson. Patty and Fred, or better known as Perfect Patty and Freddy Bear, shared a love only others could dream for, and were married for 40 glorious years. She was a devoted mother to two daughters, Cori Lea Dickson and Jeni Lynn Dickson. She was also a doting grandmother to her granddaughters, Madison Elizabeth Danek and Maci Lynell Lowery. Patty is also survived by her three sisters Sharla Crowell Mathews, Tami Lynn Cude, and Terri Crowell Levin. Patty devoted her life to spreading the message of God's love through music and sign language. She started singing at the tender age of five years old, and sang professionly for many years. Patty also sang with groups called the Lumineers and Signs for the Harvest, where they traveled the world ministering to people and bringing thousands to Christ. To some she was known as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and aunt, but to many she will forever be known as a talented singer, compassionate neighbor, selfless friend, and a mighty woman of God! A memorial service will be held on May 14, 2016 at 11am to remember her life here on earth, and to celebrate her new life in Heaven with God. The service will be held at the April Sound Church: 67 1/2 April Wind South in Montgomery, Texas 77356. Refreshments will be served following the service.
