Heaven gained another angel on January 26, 2017 when Patrick James Rodgers was called to be a soldier in God's army. Patrick was born on November 30, 1990 and graduated from Willis High School in 2009. Patrick proudly served in the United States Army since March 2010. He was a Specialist assigned to 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii. He previously served in Oklahoma, South Carolina and once was deployed to Kuwait. He was a recipient of three Army Achievement medals, two Army Good Conduct Medals, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, and two Overseas Service Ribbons.

Patrick was preceded in death by his great grandparents Ruby & Carl Rodgers, grandfather Carl Aaron Rodgers, grandmother Ann Tomczak & brother Bobby Rodgers, Jr. Patrick is survived by his wife Demi, their son Thomas Wyatt, parents Carol & Bobby Rodgers, sister Brandi Stephenson & husband Todd, sister-in-law Cathleen Anthony, nieces & nephews Maegan, Conner, Rachel & Justin, grandfather John Tomczak, mother-in-law Robyn Occhipinti & husband Dustin, father-in-law Donald Antley & wife Elizabeth, brother-in-law Jason Antley, brother-in-law Cody Roark, sister-in-law Alexis Antley, grandparents Pat & Rob Pass, half-brother Terry Peterson, half-sister Summer Stokes, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and an abundance of friends who will all miss him dearly.

Patrick will be laid to rest with full military honors on Thursday, February 9, 2017. Visitation at 1 PM with funeral at 2 PM at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home on 10129 FM 1097 West in Willis, Texas. Interment will follow in the Willis Cemetery on FM 1097 East in Willis, Texas.
