Patsy Myreen Butler of Cut-N-Shoot, Texas passed away peacefully during the morning of November 24, 2015, surrounded by the family she was so genuinely proud of. "Pat", as she was known to all that knew her, was an anchor of her community, and the matriarch of her family. Pat was a hostess who embodied every aspect of genuine southern hospitality; all that knew her, or who had just met her, knew that they had a friend and a confidant in Cut-N-Shoot, Texas. Her boundless love was immediately apparent to anyone she met; those lucky enough to claim her as a friend included numerous renown country music personalities like Willie Nelson, Charlie Pride, Ray Price, and Gary Stewart, and many more who starred at her own "Pat's Longhorn Ballroom" establishment. Luckiest of all was her husband of 54 years, the Texas country music legend, Larry Butler, whom she loved dearly. Pat was also known as the queen of Texas Bar-B-Que, leading the award winning "Butler Chicks" cookoff team to countless wins throughout the competitive Texas cookoff scene. Those she has left behind are those whom she loved the most, including her beloved husband Larry Butler, her three daughters, Tammy Sklar and husband Ricky, Tina Martin and husband Wayne, Teresa Butler and her fiancé John Youngblood, her sister, Rita Jones, along with her ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her father, Atlas Kirby Reed, her mother, Maggie Ann Johnson, her stepson Larry Joe Butler, and sisters Norma Jean Poe and Diann Lukas. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at Cashner Funeral Home (801 Teas Rd Conroe, TX 77303). Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 1:00PM in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Pastor Tim Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Garden Park Cemetery.
