Paula Parker Pugh, was born on February 13, 1950 and died January 17, 2012 following a 14 month battle with lung cancer. She was affectionately known throughout her life as "Polly".

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Hicks Parker, Jr. and Juanita Brumfield Parker of Natchez, Mississippi, and her sister, Edna Juanita "Dootsie" Murphy. Polly is survived by her children; Jack J. Pugh, IV (Lana) of Macon, MS; Carrie Pugh, of Conroe, TX; and Parker Pugh, (Kristin) of Ocean Springs, MS. She is also survived by her sisters Lil Parker Graning of Natchez, MS, and Deborah Parker Calandro of Baton Rouge, LA, as well as a special friend, Odis Nolte of The Woodlands, TX.

Polly attended Mississippi State University where she earned a B.S. degree in General Business, and returned for another B.S. in Accounting. While at Mississippi State, she was active in campus life including membership in Chi Omega Sorority.

Polly was a lifelong Episcopalian. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in The Woodlands, TX, and a previous member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Natchez, MS where she was baptized.

Through the years she committed her time to several organizations, including the Chairman of the Noxubee County Republican Women, Natchez Pilgrimage Garden Club, and served on the board of the Harbor Town Home Owner's Asso. Until her death, Polly was the Finance Director for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department in Montgomery County TX.

Polly had a passion for cooking, playing bridge, and spending time with family and friends.

Services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 20, 2012 at The Outrigger Clubhouse in Harbour Town, 2025 Lakewood Court, Willis, TX
