1934-2015

Beloved Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma (G.G.) departed from this life on August 21, 2015. Pebble was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Oran; mother; father; son, Oran Jr.(Sammy); and daughter, Penny. Brothers Wood Stone and Gary Stone. Brother-in-law Robert Sneed. Sister-in-law Geraldine McKelroy. Pebble will be truly missed by everyone that knew her.

Pebble was born on July 22, 1934 to Wood and Josephine (Palmer) Stone in Pasadena, CA., the first of seven children. Her father being a Naval pilot meant that they would live all over the USA during the 30's and 40's. Pebble married Oran on December 5, 1953. Pebble's life would be spent 37 years in the military from her birth, father in the Navy, through her marriage to Oran upon his retirement from the USAF in 1971.

Pebble spent her life caring for children. From her siblings, her own children, babysitting, and 26 years (1978-2004) in the nursery at Grangerland Baptist Church.

Pebble is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Sneed, of Conroe; son, Randall Sneed, of Conroe, granddaughters, Stephanie Sparks and husband Jeff of Spring, Melissa Gonzalez and husband James of Huntsville, and Rachel Skorpenske of Tyler. Great-Grandchildren: Korbin, Kailyn, Lacey and Maddox Sparks; Joseph, Jeremiah and Melody Gonzalez. Brothers George Stone, wife Patti and Fred Stone. Sisters Barbara Corbett, husband Ben, and Alice Brock, husband Pete, sisters-in-law Nancy Stone, Rosemary Stone, Sandy Stone and LaVerne Meline. Numerous dear relatives and friends also survive. Pallbearers: Randall Sneed, Jeff Sparks, James Gonzalez, Korbin Sparks, J Marshall Neal. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Special Olympics, The Wounded Warrior Project, or The Retired Enlisted Association.

Visitation will be held 5:00 to 8:00PM Tuesday, August 25,2015. Funeral services will be 10:00AM Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Metcalf Funeral Directors. Interment will be 2:00PM August 26, 2015 at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
