Peggy Miller, age 72 passed away on Thursday, February 11 after a brief illness with her family at her side. Peggy was born on November 2, 1943 in Bastrop, Texas to Joe Sephus Smith and Mary McClintock Smith. Her dad worked in the oil fields so they moved frequently. In her teenage years they settled in Brenham and after high school she married David Kramer in 1961. They had two daughters, Deborah Lynn in 1962 and Sherry Oneil in 1965. In 1978 they were divorced and Peggy moved to Laporte, Texas to be near family. Luckily, she and Dave Miller soon met and after a whirlwind courtship were married on August 14, 1979. The rest is history. Friends dubbed them The Dave & Peggy Traveling Good-Time Show due to all the travel and love of music and partying. Now after 37 years of love, life & the pursuit of happiness (In Huge Quantities), over 1,470,000 miles on the road to all 48 lower states, hearing over 1000 bands, drinking and dancing our way across the country and always having a great time, as many of you witnessed. Thanks to all our family and hundreds of good friends for all the LOVE! When Peggy and Dave met he was a Lieutenant on the Baytown Fire Dept. but when he was offered the job of Assistant Fire Chief in Conroe, they moved in 1981 and have lived here since. Peggy worked for 23 years as a server at El Pollino Mexican restaurant in Conroe and made hundreds of friends there.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mary Smith, brothers Aubrey "Sonny" Smith and Jimmy Joe Smith, sisters Opal Smith, Bonnie Barth, Mary Jonell Odom and Thelma Williams, granddaughter Kristen Nicole Kramer, Father-In-Law Harold Miller and Mother-In-Law Margaret Miller as well as several nieces and nephews.
