Quenton R. "Q" Estep of Panorama Village, TX. passed into rest on Monday, October 13, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Quenton was born November 12, 1924 to Robert R. and Ruby Walling Estep, in Howe, TX. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio where he excelled in boxing as a lightweight. Entering the Navy's V-5 Fight Training Program after High School he was commissioned and flew in the Pacific Theatre of Operations as a Navigator. After the War he entered St. Mary's University, graduating in 1949. Quenton taught briefly at Thomas Jefferson High in San Antonio, before joining Humble Oil and Refining Company (Exxon) where he spent the majority of his career in the Marketing Department, in various sales positions. Quenton retired after thirty-six years service with Exxon in 1986. For the next twenty years "Q" spent the majority of his leisure time on the Panorama Village golf course with his "High Roller" buddies, living each day to the fullest.

Quenton is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Beatrice. He is also survived by his son Daniel of Denver, Co., and wife Suzanne, by his son Michael of Spring, TX his wife Dianna, and their children: Michael, Jr., Brandon and Allison; his son Phillip of Corpus Christi, TX his wife Patricia, and their children Lauren and Kyle. Great grand children: Alexis Estep; Holden Smith; Emma Ballard; Lila Smith; and Charley Ballard.

The Estep family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Glen Berwick and his staff for many years of professional care and support in "Q's" struggle with emphysema. The family also wishes to express their appreciation to the many friends and neighbors, especially Pam, Vicki and Darrell for providing concerned support for "Q" and Bea as their health declined. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the , the or Samaritan's Purse.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday at the Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio, TX.
