Graveside services for Raymond LaBoyd White of Liberty, Texas will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at Montague Cemetery in Cleveland, Texas with the Rev. Jimmy Weeks officiating. Mr. White passed away peacefully on February 2, 2015 in Houston, Texas at the age of 77. He was born on March 27, 1937 in Dora, New Mexico to Willie and Myrtle White.

Raymond proudly served his country in the Army and retired as SFC E-7 in 1980 after 20 years of faithful service. He received many honorable decorations such as: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, 2 Oversea Bars, Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), and the Army of Occupation Medal (Berlin). Over the years, he and his loving wife of 53 years, Betty and their family were stationed in Germany, Georgia, Oklahoma and Texas, just to name a few.

Raymond was a loving, caring gentleman who will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Myrtle (Williams) White; son, Raymond LaBoyd White and brothers, Vernie White and Calvin Morgan. Ray is survived by his loving family: wife, Betty Jean White; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Charlie Clemence, Jeanie and Bruce Karbowski and Sheila and Lloyd Wagnon; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carmelita Acock, Kay and Jim Alexander and Carol and Charlie Boultinghouse; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Charene White; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other dear relatives and friends.
