Red DeShazier was born on September 8, 1937 in Savannah, TN and passed away April 12, 2014 in Conroe, TX at the age of 76. Red served proudly in the US Air Force, was a member of the NRA and loved Texas. He worked as a machinist and spent many years as a truck driver. While living in Crystal Beach he tolerated visits from family and especially the Rowdy Girls. In his later years he enjoyed reading, gardening and the great outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Granville Vernon and Edna Grace Kelly DeShazier, and by his sister Wanda Faye Ragland. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Judy Roberts of Conroe; by his 5 daughters: Cindy Turner, Sherri Ann Hoover and husband Bob, Connie Gates, Cheryl Grant and husband Mark, and Channon Cantrell and husband Norman; by his son, James DeShazier and wife Anna, by his brother, Stanley DeShazier and wife Jo, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private family service is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Cashner Funeral Home from 10-11am. He will be laid to rest in the Smith Memorial Park in Willis.
