Mr. Brinegar was born July 25, 1932 in Glen Rose, Texas and passed away September 8, 2018 in Willis, Texas. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Annie Margaret Brinegar; parents, Elmer Brinegar and Dora Addie Wright; brothers: Jesse, Alvin, Donnie, Eugene, David, Otis Dale, and Roger Dale Brinegar; sisters: Mary Ollie, Lorene Watts, Sister Neal, Wilmun Lockhart, Nell Sargent, Pat Brinegar; and grandson Timothy Brinegar. He is survived by his children, Richard W. Brinegar, Jr. of Conroe, Texas, Mary VanSchoonhoven of Willis, Texas, Gloria Hutto and husband Charles of Willis, Texas, Donna Ward and husband Gary of Macon, GA, Glen Brinegar and wife Shannon of Willis, Texas, his brother Mike Brinegar of Burleson, Texas and sister Alice Faye Payne of Valley Mills, Texas. Grandchildren: Terry, Stephanie, Wendy, Shawn, Erick, Leon, Jake, Sherry, Tiffany and Amy, 12 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was a loving man and did numerous things for the old folks home in Willis, Texas. He served in the Army in the Korean War and served his country for 8 years. He was a true hero. He also was a loving pastor.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 2pm at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, 10129 FM 1097 W, Willis, Texas 77318 with Rev Darrell Seale officiating. Burial will be immediately following at the Willis Cemetery, 100 Cemetery Rd, Willis, Texas 77378. You are invited to leave a written condolence on our website at www.shmfh.com.
