Richard Louis Chambless, was born to Ruby Irene (Haynes) Chambless and Louis Lee Chambless on September 9, 1932 in Grapeland, Texas. Richard passed away on March 7, 2015 in Conroe, Texas. Mr. Chambless was a proud member of the First United Methodist church of Conroe, Texas. Mr. Chambless graduated from Pasadena High School in 1950 followed by two year in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict as an Aircraft Wood Worker and was Honorably discharged in 1952. He attended several institutions of higher education. Mr. Chambless became a Master Mason on June 18, 1957 and advanced to the 32nd Degree in the "Scottish Rite of Freemasonary" S.J.U.S.A. Company in 1987 and moved to River Plantation in Conroe, Texas to pursue his lifelong ambition as a wood turner. His loving wife of 38 years, Lillie "Vonnie" (Weaver) Chambless, his parents Ruby and Louis Chambless, his older sister, Wilma Lee (Chambless) Pankonien, younger brother, James Donld Chambless precedes Mr. Chambless in death. Daughters, Karen Sue (Chambless) Plumlee and husband Michael of Richmond, Texas and Nancy Louise (Chambless) LeGrow and husband Stephen of Houston, survives him. He is also survived by granddaughters, Marcia Strange and husband Dan of Mobile, Alabama, and Cynthia Plumlee of San Antonio, Texas; and grandson, Joseph LeGrow of Fulshear, as well as his numerous nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to a . Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 3:00pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel.
