Mr. Richard Dietz, 57, of Conroe, Texas passed from this life Wednesday night, November 2, 2011, with his loving wife Kenya by his side,

Mr. Dietz was one of five children born to Millard and Jessie McGurn Dietz, Friday, November 20, 1953 in Summerville, New Jersey. Rick and his family lived on Zion Mountain, Hillsbough Township in Summerset County, New Jersey. In 1970 Rick and his family moved to Clearwater, Florida, where he attended and graduated from Dunedin High. On December 18, 1973 Rick graduated from St. Petersburg Junior College earning an associate's degree of science in electronic engineering technology. He then went to work for Rollins Protective Services. In 1979 Rollins transferred Rick to Houston Texas, Later Rick went to work for Texas Security where he worked till August of 2011. Rick loved to spend time with his family and also enjoyed hunting, boating, mudding, four wheeling, scuba diving and taking long walks on his property, in Conroe, with his family and dog, Fred. When home, Rick enjoyed cooking on the grill and partaking in delicious meals with his family. Rick took his family on many great vacations. He was a child at heart, waking up every morning with a smile on his face, ready to start a new day. Whether rain or shine Rick sat on the front deck, watching the sun rise and listening to the frogs sing. Rick was diagnosed with cancer his last time, June 22, 2009, remaining happy and upbeat, facing every surgery and treatment head on and determined to live life to the fullest. Before passing on, Rick gave his family a thumbs up, promising he would see them again someday. Rick was a loving husband and father and will be truly missed. Rick is preceded in death by his mother, Jessie McGrun Dietz and leaves behind his wife, Kenya Pace; his son, Jason Dietz and wife Renee, of Cordova, South Carolina; his father Millard Dietz; his sister, Diane Whitcher and husband Joe; his brothers Millard Dietz Jr and Howard Dietz, all of Clearwater, Florida; his brother Robert Dietz and wife Tammy of New Port Richey, Florida; his "second family", Fred Helwig, and wife Trudy of Houston; his beloved dog, Fred and many nieces & nephews.

A memorial service for the life of Mr. Richard Dietz will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011, at 11:30 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Groceville, 19256 FM 1484, Conroe TX. 77303 with Pastor Eric Holly officiating and under the direction of McNutt Funeral Home.
