Richard Emil Morris, 68, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 15th, 2011 in Conroe, Texas. He was born October 3, 1943 in East Bernard Texas.

He attended East Bernard School, and he graduated from the University of Houston, followed by a career in banking.

Richard was active in many service organizations, including Boy Scouts of America, St. Vincent De Paul, Legion of Mary and the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish where he was an active Eucharistic Minister for the sick and elderly as well as an active participant in the choir.

He is survived by his loving family: wife of 41 years, Patricia Janice Morris, four children: Kevin (wife Cheryl), Kelly (husband Jeremiah), Kim (husband Dustin), Kyle (partner Mark), brother Henry Morris, sister Bernadette Janicek, and seven grandchildren Lauren, Logan, and Layton Morris; Aaron Quail; Dylan, Madison, and Rylie Brisco. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday at Metcalf Funeral Directors with a Rosary beginning at 7:00pm. The funeral Mass will be 10:30am Wednesday October 19, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or St. Vincent De Paul of Sacred Heart Church in Conroe, Texas.
