Richard Lee Hailey, son of the late Dr. Edwin and Catherine Hailey, died Thursday, January 30, 2014, after a brief illness in Houston. He is survived by his brother, David Edwin Hailey, and his nephew Stanley Hailey and his wife Melissa of Dallas. He also is survived by his aunt, Pauline Hailey, and several cousins.

Richard was born November 15, 1936 in Galveston, Texas. He was a graduate of Conroe High School (1955), Texas State University, and a veteran of the US Army where he was honorably discharged as an Army Specialist 5. Richard worked in sales in the pharmaceutical industry and later in the home decorating field for several companies in Houston.

Although Richard had not lived in Conroe for many years, he was interested in the history of Montgomery County and enjoyed news of his family and classmates here. He will be missed.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 10:00am at the Oakwood Cemetery in Conroe, Texas.
