Rickie Wayne Tyler, 68 of Conroe, Texas passed from this life on Friday, March 10, 2018 following an extended illness.

Rickie was born on May 13, 1949 in Columbia, Louisiana to the union of Sam and Patty Tyler. Rickie was employed with OXY for 35 years until his retirement in 2015. He enjoyed working in the yard, sports, golfing, LSU football and spending time with his grandchildren. Rickie devoted every aspect of life to teaching others through coaching, work, fatherhood, and church leadership.

Rickie was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Randy Tyler.

Left to cherish his memory, his wife of 45 years Becky Tyler; brother Rynn Tyler and wife Sarah of Ferriday, Louisiana; two daughters Brandy Tyler Bowers and husband Buster of Montgomery, Texas, Candy Tyler Hudak and husband John of Conroe, Texas; one son Todd Dearmon and wife Lisa of Jena, Louisiana; ten grandchildren: Layton, Brady, and KayeLea; Kellen, Camryn and Justin; and Avery, Addison, Anna, and Adam.

Services will be held at Olla Methodist Church, Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation before from 1:00 - 3:00.
