Ricky J. Ruiz, 56, of Conroe, Texas went to live with the Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 1, 2016.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at The Ark Family Church for Ricky on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Alan officiating. Interment will follow in Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will also receive friends and family Monday night from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Conroe Funeral Directors.

Ricky was born on March 2, 1960 in his hometown of Cleveland, Texas to parents, Julian Ruiz and Aubrey Bailey Ruiz. After a six-day engagement, Ricky wed his sweetpea, Vickie Pruett Ruiz where they have enjoyed 19 years of incredible marriage and memories.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Aubrey Ruiz.

He is survived by his loving family: Beloved wife of 19 years, Vickie Ruiz; Children, Ericka Ruiz, Krystie Frederick and husband, Chad, Katie Brooks and husband, Brandon, and Kelsie May and husband, Terry; grandchildren, Eva, Madison, Kyirsten, Cayla, Hayven, Ryleigh, Korbin, Kindra, Bailee, Hunter, Tatum and Deacon; sisters, Teresa Everitt and husband, Danny; Cathy Lakey and husband, Joe Paul, Julie Veiseh and husband, Ed, Victoria Welsh and Gaye Lynn Mackie and husband, Thomas; step-mom, GayNell Ruiz;mother-in-law, Maynelle Pruett; numerous other dear relatives and caring friends also survive.

Pallbearers: Chad Frederick, Brandon Brooks, Terry May, Chris Jones, Buddy Heuerman, Justin Lakey, Carey Jimmerson and Travis Grubbs.

Ricky's final selfless contribution was being an organ and tissue donor. With this act, he provided continued blessings to numerous other individuals.

Ricky, an A & M attendee, enjoyed spending time with his church family and weekend hunting trips. Many would say Ricky was a Saving Grace. He always put other before himself and loved to bless families and younger friends. One blessing in particular was sending under privileged students to Youth Camp at the Ark Family Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations would be made for the AYC Student Ministry Retreat at The Ark Church in order to sponsor a student in need. The Ark Church, 450 Humble Tank Rd. Conroe, TX 77304.
