Robert C. Bailey, 87, departed from this world in peace on March 11, 2013. Bob was born in Cicero, IN, on March 3, 1926. Navy veteran, World War II. After 16 years with the Marriott Corp., he spent many years in college and university food service administration. Former resident of Arlington, VA; Washington, DC; San Francisco, CA; Lubbock, TX; Blaine, WA; and Boise, ID. In 2006, after his wife retired, they moved to Willis, TX to be closer to her children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by both parents and his brother, Don Bailey. Survived by his wife of many years, Delores; sons Rob, from Fenton, MI, and David, from Boise, ID; sisters June Gossett and Janie Aspass, Indianapolis, IN; brother Phil Bailey, Beaumont, CA; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; plus Delores's children Jennifer, Jeff, and Joel Mollhagen and three step-grandchildren. Volunteer at Sam Houston Elementary School and Conroe Regional Medical Center. Bob really enjoyed his time as a volunteer, especially working with the children at the school. He was also quite a singer; he spent many years as a Barbershopper and all his life as a singer in the church choir.

Memorial service at United Methodist Church, 200 North Thomason St., Willis, 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church, POB 315, Willis, TX 77378.
