Robert Daniel Evans was born in Enid, OK on December 13, 1930 and passed away on July 28, 2013 in Conroe, TX. He graduated from Enid High School then attended Oklahoma University and graduated with a degree in Geological Engineering in 1953. He served in the US Marine Corps in Japan and Korea and achieved the rank of major while serving in the Marine Reserves.

In 1955 Bob began working at Gulf Oil Corp. and continued with them for 35 years until he retired in 1990 from Gulf/Chevron. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, and anything else that took him outdoors. Music was also an important part of his life. He played the clarinet through high school and college, and in community bands and church orchestras. Most important to him were his faith in God and his family. He was ordained as a deacon at the age of 30 and served the Lord in many ways through the years. He was a member of West Conroe Baptist Church at the time of his death.

Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruth Evans of Willis, TX; children Carol Bramlett and husband Ken of Conroe, TX, David Evans of Newport Harbor, CA, and Donna Clark of Waco, TX; grandchildren Evan Clark, Haley Clark, Sean Clark, Corey Clark, Robert Bramlett, and Brian Bramlett; and brother James Pfrehm and wife Vicky of Enid, OK.

The family would like to thank Bristol Hospice and the staff at Heritage Oaks for being so caring and supportive in the last few weeks. Memorial donations may be made in Bob's honor to the Parkinson's Foundation or Gideons Bible Society.
