Robert Bolivar Martin Sr. passed away on July 12, 2014 in Conroe, Texas. A proud Army veteran who, after serving his country, transitioned to NASA where he wrote all training Manual's computer programs and personally trained astronauts in the Apollo 11, 12 and 13 missions. Robert was born in Liberty, Texas on June 08, 1943 to Harry James Martin and Edna Elsie Chandler. He is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters; Elizabeth Ann Vyral; Audrey Brookshire and Ginger Lawson. He is survived by the mother of his children Agnes Elliott Martin; sons; Robert Bolivar Martin Jr.; Kevin James Martin and Steve Wingate; daughter Kimberly Aliene Henry; grandchildren; Tyler James Martin and his wife Lauren; Heavenly Martinez and Sarah Henry; great grandchildren Gavin James Martin and Annabella Martin. Also left to cherish his memory are his brother; James Martin and sister; Billie Jean Lynch as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and other relatives. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made to Vet Hunters Project, P.O. Box 3174 South El Monte, CA 91733.
