Rodger Sherman Guinn went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2012 at the age of 72.

Rodger, otherwise known as, Honey, was born on September 22, 1939 in Fresno, California. He worked in the Oil and Gas Industry from the age of 17 until his passing at 72. He was a member of, The Society of Petroleum Engineers. He worked most of his career overseas, in 18 countries and has traveled to over 80 countries in his lifetime. When he got to old to get a visa for overseas he began consulting here in Texas. He loved his job and was well respected and known all over the world.

Rodger loved riding his motorcycle and planning road trips. He rode his motorcycle all over, from California to Florida, Mexico and back. He was a member of the Patriot Guard.

He and his family attended West Conroe Baptist Church where he was a member.

He was preceded in death by his parents Warren Guinn and Iva Pauline Blake; sister Myrna Baker and brother Richard Guinn.

He is survived by his wife Jada Marie Guinn; son Jason Guinn; daughter and son in law Ken & Eva Goode; grandsons Rodger Warren, Nathaniel Kenneth and William Maverick Goode; Sisters Elena Sue Anderson and Saundra Miranda, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

His family remembers him as a generous and loving man. Always putting others before himself. We find our peace that he is resting in the arms of our Lord.

Service will be September 1, 2012 at West Conroe Baptist Church at 10am. Graveside service to follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery 13102 North Fwy Houston, Texas 77060.
