Roger David Ostlund, 75, of Montgomery, TX and Norwalk, IA, and a former resident of Bakersfield, CA, died Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in West Des Moines, IA. Roger worked for Shell Oil Company before retiring. His first wife of over 44 years, Lucille, died in 2005. In 2006 he married Judy Anderson, and for the past several years they lived between their two homes in Montgomery and Norwalk. He was a faithful servant of the Lutheran Church and was a member of The Loyal Order of Moose.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Anderson, of Norwalk, IA; his daughter Dawnett (Tony) Lanson of Kingwood, TX; his son Joel (Nancy) Ostlund of Bakersfield, CA; Judy's children, Corey (Lori) Anderson of Omaha, NE, and Trina (Mike) Mazza of Johnston, IA; 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and many others, who he loved very much. In addition to Lucille, he was preceded in death by a son, Paul, in 2012.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 16, 2014 at O'Leary Celebration of Life Center ~ Funeral & Cremation Services, Norwalk, IA.
