On early Thursday morning, February 19, 2015 - Heaven was filled with joyous singing and praising as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ welcomed home Ronald "Ron" Eugene Lindquist.

Agnes Boyle Lindquist and Elmer Lindquist were blessed with the birth of their son Ron on July 14, 1934 in Kane Pennsylvania. He was raised and went to school in Bradford just a few miles north of Kane. Ron joined the Air Force after graduating High School, but returned to Bradford after his years of service for our Country. He met and married the love of his life, Darlene Swanson, at a local Bradford jewelry store. The couple was married on June 14, 1958 and shortly thereafter moved to Wichita Falls, Texas where he began is 40+ year career as a Petroleum Engineer. Texas proved to be a great place for Ron, as he and Darlene started their family with the birth of their 1st Son, Timothy Alan on February 20, 1960. They added the middle son, Kevin Kent, December 15, 1961 and their 3rd and final son, Steven Jay, February 25, 1964. In 1966 big changes occurred when Ron was transferred to Houston, Texas. However this turned out to be one of God's blessings when on September 5, 1968 he was given his daughter, Laura Ellen. Ron and the family lived in the Houston area until finally finding the home of his dreams in Kingwood, Texas where he and Darlene spent the next 35 years. Ron finished his career in 1996 when he retired from Pennzoil.

Throughout his life Ron was a truly dedicated family man and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his kids - whether it was watching TV together, playing board games, wrestling with the boys (and of course Laura) in the middle of the living room floor or coaching little league teams for the boys and softball teams with Laura - Ron was always the center of it all.

He also was a great man of faith - teaching his family by his actions. He made sure to always have the family in church each Sunday. Ron was also a very active member of the church - serving in leadership roles all of his life.

Ron is preceded in death by his father, Elmer Lindquist, and his mother Agnes Lindquist. Also by his sisters Sandy Travis and Gail Lindquist.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Darlene Lucille Lindquist. Sons - Timothy Alan Lindquist and wife Maria, Kevin Kent Lindquist and wife Cathey, Steven Jay Lindquist and wife Sharon; Daughter - Laura Ellen Bridges and husband Steve; Grandsons - Aaron Keith Lindquist, Gavin Kyle Wheeler, and Christopher Shane Wheeler. Also many nephews, nieces, and extended family members.
