Ronald Frank Bliese, age 86, of Montgomery, Texas, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 62 1/2 years Joan Bliese, son Russell Bliese and wife Linda (Montgomery), daughter Margie Barlow and husband Ron (Montgomery), brothers Russell (California) and Jimmie (Wisconsin), sisters Joanie Ebert (New Mexico) and Mary Carpenter (Louisiana), with numerous nieces and nephews. Ronnie was born in Watertown, Wisconsin and moved to Texas in 1950. He served his country in the U.S. Army and worked at Shell Refinery while obtaining his insurance license. After obtaining his license, he worked for Lincoln Liberty Life Insurance Co. until opening an office of First Financial with a partner and having his CLU designation. Ronnie decided to semi-retire in 1992 when he and Joan moved to their retirement home on Walden on Lake Conroe. Full retirement came shortly thereafter when he discovered fishing, golfing and gambling were his thing. He really enjoyed running the "Old Dawgs" golf group every Tuesday and Friday. Even though he wasn't able to play in the latter days, he still managed to be there to get the groups off and join them when they finished for a cold beer. On May 15th, the last stringer of fish, the last ball teed, the last card dealt at L'auberge Casino and he officially ran out of beer marked the end. Thanks to Lisa (our rock) Allison, Stephen and Anita of Hospice Plus and of course Doctor Baker who is the most compassionate doctor in Montgomery County. A celebration of life will be held at Tree of Life Lutheran Church, 3201 N. Loop 336 W. Conroe, TX 77304 Saturday May 20th at 2:00 p m. Ronnie always wanted Joan in colorful clothing so he could spot her in a casino so those attending, please make sure you stand out. Wear the brightest shirt and golf shorts you have so he will be smiling down upon us. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Tree of Life Lutheran Church.
