Sammie H. Clark, passed away January 11, 2017 at age 89. He was born December 4, 1927 in Oakdale, LA to Effie Blanche and Thomas Earl Clark who both preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Doris Millie Haisler.

Sammie proudly served in the United States Armed Forces during WWII, he was stationed in Germany and served in the Army Air Corp. He enjoyed travelling and exploring new places, he was always ready for an adventure. He loved to fish, camp, play dominos and he told wonderful stories. Sammie was also an ordained Deacon in the Baptist Church.

Sammie was a devoted husband and father; he loved his grandkids and great grandkids dearly. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Martha Harris Tezel Clark; Sons, Mark W. Clark and his wife Terri and Sammy N. Clark and his wife Harmony; Grandchildren, Christi Perry, Marlee Foxworth, Geneva, Emily, and Thomas Clark; Great Grandchildren, Allie Duewall, Summer Perry, and Kyndal Foxworth.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm, Friday, January 13, 2017 at Rosewood Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 12noon, Saturday, January 14, 2017 in Rosewood Humble Chapel, 2602 South Houston Ave., Humble, Texas 77396 officiated by Dr. Jay Gross.
