Samuel Joseph Richardson born May 17, 1980 in Amarillo, Texas. Our dearest Sam went on to be with The Lord on October 25, 2013 in City of Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. Remaining behind is his wife of seven and a half years Kristin Monroe Richardson and his daughters Lola Grace (age six), Ava Lucille (age 3) and Mila Lily (age2) all of Montgomery, Texas. Also, Sam goes on ahead of his mother Arlette Kay Richardson, his father Stephen James Richardson, his older brother David Bailey and his older brother Lance Bailey. Sam was a member of the Ark Community Church.

Sam grew up to age 10 in Amarillo, Texas which was the hometown of his father, his uncle David Richardson (of Amarillo) and Aunt Nancy Rantala (of Denton, TX). Amarillo was also the place of the old homestead of his Grandfather and Grandmother, Mr. and Mrs. James William "Jim" and Ellen Lucille Root Richardson. His beloved Grandpa and Grandma have gone on ahead to receive Sam on 12-24-2010 and 3-18-2012. His maternal Grandmother, Thelma "Meme" Rucker, resides in Montgomery. Sam was baptized into Christ at the Covenant of Joy Christian Church there in Amarillo at the age of nine.

In 1990 his family relocated to the Greater Houston Area where Sam went on to graduate from Montgomery High School in 1999 where he was known by the football team as "Big Sam". After attending college Sam began his career. His older brother Lance unwittingly prophesied about Sam's life when on our way to pick up him and his mom from the High Plains Baptist Hospital, he said "hey dad, what is he, the High Plains Drifter?" thinking about the popular movie of the same name. So, from the beginning Sam took jobs that had him going long distances from home. He went to Johnston Atoll in the South Pacific, off-shore of Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico, Azerbaijan, the north slope of Alaska, Wyoming and then finally settling with Kristin and the girls in Oman on the Arabian Peninsula where he was employed by Halliburton. Six months ago Sam founded, with the help of Omani investors, Q Energy Services. Also, Sam and Kristin were an adventurous couple who loved to travel. They traveled to many exotic places like Costa Rica, Jamaica, Istanbul, Italy, Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and South Africa. His Dad once said to Sam, "son, you're like Johnny Cash, you've been everywhere man"

Sam's legacy will be that he was a loving husband and father, a beautiful son and loyal friend. Sam was famous among his many friends around the world as one willing and eager to help. Sam would want us all to "pay it forward".

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Sam Richardson Memorial Fund, First Bank of Conroe.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday November 16, 2013 at Metcalf Funeral Directors with burial to follow in Garden Park Cemetery.
