Sherry Elizabeth Elliott passed away on March 20, 2018 in Conroe, Texas, in victory over breast cancer. She was 52 years old. Mrs. Elliott was born on February 15, 1966 in Mesquite, Texas to her parents, Clinton Allen Wightman and Margaret Louise Rowell (maiden). She graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor of Science degree for early childhood education. She married Brian Elliott on May 24, 1997 in Magnolia, Texas. The Elliott's resided in Spring, Texas and later in Conroe, Texas, where Sherry worked as an elementary school teacher from 1997-2012. Her husband Brian continues to be active in the fencing industry. After Sherry left the education field, she dedicated her life to her family and to her ministry that saw to the needs of the homeless, to women, and anyone needing spiritual guidance. Sherry's life testimony was her passion for her kids at home and in the classroom as well as ministering. In her downtime, she enjoyed organizing, prepping, camping (RVing), bible studies, and leading others to be successful in their life both professionally and personally. Inspiring creativity and dedication in others was her life-long goal. Mrs. Elliott is survived by her husband, Brian Elliott of Conroe, TX., daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Michael Schaper of Erwin, TN., daughter and son-in-law, Whitney and Shane Hagood of Tyler, TX., daughters, Sydney and Madison Elliott of Conroe, TX., brother, William Wightman of Conroe, TX., sister and brother-in-law, Penny and Edward Miller of Lewisville, TX., sister, Ruth Ann Gardner of Wisconsin, brother-in-law Matthew Elliott of Buckner, MO., father Clinton Wightman of Nacogdoches, TX., mother and father-in-law, Virginia and Elmer Nolte, and 3 grandchildren, Cayden, Tristan, and Reagan. She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Wightman. Sherry has chosen cremation in lieu of funeral services. A memorial service will take place, at a date yet to be determined for family and friends in a gathering to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, and to ensure that all proceeds go directly towards helping others get needed support, she requested that donations to be sent in her memory directly to; Conroe Cancer Center 506 Medical Center Blvd., Suite 100, Conroe, TX. 77304 (936)777-6550
