Spring, Texas -- On Saturday, January 6th, 2018, Shirley Kelley Hunter, passed away peacefully in her home. With great courage, Shirley lived this past year with a rare blood cancer which recently developed into Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Shirley was born and raised in Tupelo, Mississippi, and graduated from The University of Mary Harden - Baylor in Belton, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Shirley married John Gregory Hunter on August 20th, 1967, and with their family, recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. Shirley valued her family and friends and lived for making all occasions truly special. She was a longtime resident in Spring, Texas where she owned a local business with her husband, John Hunter, called Affinity and The Tux Shop. Her passion was fashion and she loved working with all the women who visited the store looking for the perfect dress. She also loved her relationships with the dress manufacturers, their representatives and her fellow store associates.

Shirley is survived by her husband John, daughters; Jennifer Franson and Melissa Trascher, son-in-law's; Brett Franson and Kirk Trascher, grandson; Nolan Hunter Yeager, step-granddaughters; Lisa and Leah Trascher, nephew; Brad Kelley, his wife; Margaret and their children; Eliza and John, niece; Amy Kelley, and sister in law; Abby Rudisill. Shirley is preceded in death by her father; John C. Kelley; Sr., mother; Louise W. Kelley, and her brother; John C. Kelley, Jr. A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday January 27, 2018 at 4:30 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church 3901 South Panther Creek Dr. The Woodlands, Texas 77381.
