Shirley Stucky passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013. She died after an heroic battle with several life threatening illnesses, especially in the last part of her life. God spared her any more suffering and took her to be with Him as the highest reward for a life well spent as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all.

To know Shirley was to love her. She was not only beautiful on the outside but in her heart and soul. She had a wonderful sense of humor coupled with an extensive memory of life stories combed from her seventy-nine years of living life including sixty years of marriage to Bob, the love of her life. They raised a large family of five daughters and one son and she enjoyed her twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren very much.

Shirley and Bob were married when she was nineteen and he was twenty-one and had just returned from serving on a Navy destroyer during the Korean War. They were inseparable during their sixty years of marriage and, God willing, will be reunited in heaven some happy day. Shirley was an excellent artist, working primarily in watercolor, and passed that talent on to many of her children.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Bob and her children Vickie Szdlow, Lisa Welch, Laura Stucky, Kelly Stevenson, Robert Stucky, Jr., Caryn Stucky and Shirley's brother Glenn Clover, plus twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
