Sidney Long Gober was born on November 4, 1938 in his family home in Humble, Texas and was called to his heavenly home on November 9, 2015 in Houston, Texas at the age of 77.

Sidney was a graduate from Humble High School where he was voted by his school peers as Mr. Humble. After graduation he attended the University of Texas. He recently retired from North American Trade Corporation after working for over 25 years.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother LuLa Mae Long, his father and mother R. E. and Frances Long Gober, Aunt Cleo Maddon and husband Charles; brother Rodney Earl and wife Janice Gober, nephews Rhandall and Rodney Earl Jr. Gober.

Sidney is survived by his devoted and loving wife Faelynn Gober of fifty-five years; son Steven Todd Gober and wife Candy; their daughter Breanna, son E. J. and wife Lauren and great granddaughter Cailyn; daughter Stacy Sander and husband Jim; sisters-in-law Carla Rodgers and husband Lowell Wayne, Linda Clark and late husband David, brother-in-law Gerald and wife Betty Mullican; loving nieces, nephews and many little people whom called him PaPa.

Sidney had a passion for Jesus Christ, his family and friends; he found solace in these great Joys! Psalm 116:15, John 10:27-29, Matthew 11:28, Revelation 14:13.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held November 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Lakeside Bible Church, 18940 Freeport Drive., Montgomery, Texas 77356. You may leave written memorial tributes at www.shmfh.com
