The man, the myth, the legend escaped this world on December 15, 2017 to go be with the Lord. Stan was born on December 19, 1947 in Sweetwater, TX to Les and Frances Kinerd. He graduated from Conroe High School and attended Southwestern University. Stan always loved a good joke, good music, and good food. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed spending time out on the farm in Navasota. Stan was an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and dabbled in real estate before entering his career serving the citizens of Texas with the Texas Department of Transportation until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends who will all greatly miss him and his infectious spirit. Stan is survived by his brother, Randy Kinerd of Bedford, TX; son, Zach and wife Tami Kinerd of Willis, TX; daughter, Lisa and husband Justin Linares of Spring, TX; grandchildren, Haden Kinerd, Hannah Kinerd, Leah Linares, and Leanne Linares. Numerous friends and loved ones also survive. This is a celebration of his epic adventure; bright colors are welcome. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with the Rev. Dowen Johnson officiating. The visitation will be held two hours prior to the service (11-1) in The Chapel. 1504 North Thompson Street Conroe, TX 77301.
