Two days after his 75th birthday, Stanley "Joe" Hall passed away from cancer on February 8, 2018. Although Joe lived in Michigan, he came to Conroe this past December to visit his family and stay for the winter months. Joe was born February 6, 1943 in Fowler, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Randall Hall and Wilma Mae (Blanchett) Hall and his wife of 35 years, Addie D. Hall. Surviving are his sisters Wilma Arlene (Hall) LaFitte of Conroe, TX and Elsie Mae Hall of Houston, Tx. Joe lived in Conroe until 1963 when he joined the Army. While attending Conroe High School, Joe took drafting classes and discovered his career path. He began his career as a structural engineer working for private companies with government contracts such as Bell Helicopter in Ft. Worth and aviation aerospace industry in California. In the latter years of his career, Joe used his talents for drafting molds and jigs for the automotive assembly in Detroit where he met his wife, Addie. Joe and Addie lived in Fort Gratiot, MI near Lake Huron. Although Joe was allergic to eating fish, he enjoyed boating and fishing with his buddies and sharing his catch with friends and neighbors. Another pleasure he and Addie enjoyed was traveling in their 1983 Pace Arrow RV which Joe kept in mint condition. The family held a private memorial service honoring Joe's sweet, kind and gentle nature. If you would like to honor Joe's memory, please make a contribution to the Hospice Foundation of America at hospicefoundation.org.
