The Guest Book is expired.

There are times in life for which we are not prepared that remind us that life is to be lived to the fullest. This is how Steve lived and will always be remembered. He was suddenly taken from us Sunday, November 9, 2014.

On April 15, 1956 he was born in Houston, Texas to the late Dorothy H. Brown and Richard "Dick" V. Brown. Steve graduated from Waltrip Senior High School, Houston in 1974. He went on to play football at Sam Houston State University. After college, he pursued a career in computer programming. He worked at Sisters of Charity, Stephen W. Brown & Company Consulting, Inc., and most recently the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where he had many close friends. He also served as President for Frontier Lakes Homeowners Association for three years.

He enjoyed being with family, bowling and college football. He was also an avid bass fisherman and renowned for his BBQ brisket.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard "Dick" V. Brown and Dorothy H. Brown, and his favorite aunt, Ruth Ann David Miller. He is survived by his loving wife, Marcia Brown of Willis; brother, David Brown of Pasadena; son, Stephen Brown Jr., of Austin; daughter, Jennifer McQueen and her husband Gavin; granddaughter Annabel of Tulsa, and many friends.

A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis, Texas on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 1 P.M.
