Steve Nathaniel Warren Sr. was born on February 23, 1942 in Powderly, Alabama and went to be with his Heavenly Father on March 15, 2014. He was 72 years old.

During Steve's 7 years of military service, he attended the Air Force Academy Preparatory School in Colorado Springs. While serving our country, he met and married Mary Byers on September 19, 1964. They were blessed with 49 years of marriage and 3 children.

Steve went on to work and retire from Motorola, with his last official job at Conroe Independent School District. He loved hunting, fishing, coaching and refereeing sports events, along with spending time with his family. He was an avid reader and loved to study God's Word. When growing up, Steve always wanted to be a Math or History teacher and would read history books for pleasure. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Willis, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years.

Steve is survived by his loving and devoted wife Mary, the children of his late son Steven Warren, his son Philip Warren and wife Donna and 5 children, son Michael Warren and wife Maria and two children, 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and his true friend and football buddy, his mother-in-law Beryle Byers. Other treasured family include cousin Nancy Harris and sons, Larry and Judy Holdsembeck, the Mann family and countless other friends and family.

The family would like to express a special thank you to his loving caretakers, Brenda, Laura, and Adriana.

Visitation with the family is scheduled for Friday, March 21 from 6-8 PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis.
